Dr. Nattan Roberto Caetano the Federal University of Santa Maria - UFSM, Brazil
Biography: Has a degree in Physics, a master's degree in Physics Applied to Medicine and Biology from the University of S~ao Paulo - USP, a PhD in Mechanical Engineering, in Thermodynamics at the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de January - PUC-Rio, Brazil. Have worked as coordinator for projects research for Petrobras. Completed two postdoctoral studies at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul - UFRGS, Brazil. Lecturer in the Aerospace Eng. Course in the Mechanical Eng. Department at the Federal University of Santa Maria - UFSM, Brazil. Has experience in the area of applied optics and digital images, working mainly in the following subjects: laser interferometry, Doppler laser, laser-based combustion diagnostics, using optical techniques to perform measurements on engines and flames: laser-PLIF-induced fluorescence, PIV-particle velocimetry, LII-induced laser incandescence, Rayleigh and Mie scattering, two-color pyrometry , laser light extinction and thermal radiation.
