Title: Design of a sustainable web-based graphic tool with representation techniques | |
Abstract:
Since several decades ago, the technological enhancement and realization in
information systems areas such as Internet, computer, and World Wide Web (WWW)
have been used to complement various modeling in engineering and other disciplines.
Because of the technological improvement and achievement in the areas of information
systems, there is a great necessity to research how to combine Geographic Information
System, Multi-Criteria Decision Aid, sensitivity analysis, the Internet, graphic modelling,
and database, targeting at generating Multi-Criteria Spatial Decision Support System
based on a web platform. This technological improvement and achievement allow
designers to simulate and assess their projects into an interactive web environment
supporting to better understand the different designs, simulating different states of
building projects, and brining a new perspective of them. When evaluating the visual
impact of a building, the use of interactive web can assist designers to incorporate the
aspects of visual theme in the planning and design process and also to display the
changes shaped in the different aspects. Besides, it is a very influential communication
means that stipulates an efficient method of displaying the visual impact, as well as to
comprehend and envisage the future scenery for the stakeholders. The results can be
used to verify visual impact of sustainable building projects differentiated parts of space
in the asynchronous decision-making process. Thus, this model can be the generation
and authentication of this methodology, which could be used as a practical tool for visual
impact assessment, eventually accomplishing sustainable design of built environments
with representation techniques.
